Library Cards

All students and employees of Kutztown University receive borrowing privileges at the Rohrbach Library. In addition, borrowers cards are issued to all adult citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, who are not registered students or employees of Kutztown University. Patrons need one of two cards to borrow materials from the library, either the Rohrbach Library borrowers card, or the Kutztown University Photo ID.

Rohrbach Library Borrowers Card

All patrons of the library can be issued, free of charge, a Rohrbach Library borrowers card. This card is goldenrod in color, and displays the user's name, a bar code, and a 14 digit user ID that begins with the sequence 20506.

Kutztown University Photo Identification Card

The Kutztown University Photo Identification Card also functions as your library card. In this case your user ID number is the 16 digit number at the bottom of the card that begins with the sequence 50392520.

As of Fall 2000, there is no charge for the ID for KU employees and those students who have paid the Orientation Fee. The Orientation Fee is mandatory only for full-time undergraduate students, and graduate students whose first semester is Fall 2000. Students who have not paid this fee will be charged $10.00 for the KU ID card. The replacement fee for a lost ID is also $10.00.

All students who have not paid the Orientation Fee, and do not wish to purchase a KU ID card, will be issued the Rohrbach Library Borrowers Card.

ID's are issued in the Student Union Building or at Public Safety.
