What is the format for ku's edD degree?
Here at Kutztown University, we designed our doctorate in education program to benefit professionals like you who are ready to advance your career but need to work while doing so.
FORMAT:
1. Majority of academic year is online
2. Only 3-4 days in person each July (students will stay at Hampton Inn near campus)
3. Synchronous classes held on Tuesday nights
4. Only two courses required while writing dissertation
5. Cohort-based model
6. Primary emphasis on transformation and social justice
7. Program starts in July during summer residency

- Research Methods & Methodology: The Learning Associate will be able to engage in and promote lines of inquiry that result in meaningful analysis, conclusions and recommendations for student and education-specific puzzles of practice.

The program is rooted in social justice education which empowers students and future scholars to create inclusive environments and dismantle racial and gender injustice. The EDD program strengthens students' abilities to recognize inequities and work against them as well as develop empathy and commitment and learn how to work with others to create more equitable systems. It’s very important work: thinking about what we could do to improve students' experiences with education in an inclusive, loving, accepting and welcoming way.

When will I start my EDD degree?
