Why did you choose Kutztown University?
I chose Kutztown because I fell in love with the campus. As soon as I toured here, I knew that Kutztown would be the perfect environment to grow as a student, professional and overall person.
What are your involvements on campus?
I have been a member of Kutztown women's soccer team for four years and I am grateful to be able to come back in the fall to use my fifth year of eligibility. Aside from that, I also participate in Psi-chology Club.
What inspired you to pursue Psychology
Taking AP Psychology in high school sparked a passion in me for this field. Kutztown University expanded my knowledge in a field that I love and truly helped me plan out my future as an aspiring mental health counselor.
What are some plans/goals you have for your career?
While navigating my time in graduate school, I hope to find a niche or a population that I would like to work with in my career. My goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and provide one-on-one therapy to those in need of services.
What advice do you have for incoming or prospective students?
My advice for incoming students is to use your time in undergrad wisely, as these four years go by extremely fast. Create and maintain professional relationships with your professors and attempt to get as much field experience as possible. It's a lot easier to find a career you are excited about when you submerge yourself in it and try for yourself! It can involve trial and error but that is exactly what these years are for, so don't take them for granted!
