Kutztown University encourages development and student success by creating a supportive environment as you work toward your degree. Not only do we offer educational help but also emotional, cultural, and physical support as well. Kutztown wants to see students succeed, and with the support of numerous services, students will be sure to reach their professional aspirations.

  • Counseling and Psychological Services

    During these challenging times, it is normal to experience increased feelings of stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.  In order to help students with the challenges they may experience during the academic year, we will be offering a range of counseling services to students. Services will be offered in-person and via Zoom Health videoconferencing, with an emphasis on providing the best care to students while also protecting the health and safety of students, staff, and faculty.

  • Disability Services Office (DSO)

    The Disability Services Office (DSO) is responsible for coordinating services, approving reasonable accommodations, promoting disability awareness, and providing professional development opportunities for the campus community.

  • LGBTQ+ Resource Center

    The LGBTQ+ Resource Center is a safe space for all members of the Kutztown community. As such, we strive to combat bullying, gossip, and victim-blaming by fostering an atmosphere of acceptance and mutual respect, with a special concern for the well-being of transgender, lesbian, bisexual, gay, intersex, questioning, and other non-cis/straight students.

  • Military and Veterans Services

    The Kutztown University Office of Veterans Services exist to help our students succeed in their educational and career goals . We provide a one-stop-shop suite of services, events, and programs for our veteran and military-affiliated students, faculty, and staff. Our center is a vital hub of centralized resources with a lounge area so students can relax between classes, computer work stations, and meeting spaces.

  • Multicultural Center

    Serving all Kutztown University students, our purpose is to provide activities and services focusing on the exploration of cultural and racial identity, awareness, and social exchange, as well as assist with personal and academic growth and leadership skills development. We provide a safe environment conducive to and encompassing concepts of community and unity. We invite you to join our university family.

  • New Student Orientation and Programs

    The New Student Orientation Programs addresses the holistic needs of each incoming student to create a foundation of success. Based on the core value that “each person matters,” NSO achieves this by cultivating strategic partnerships across campus, promoting an environment of personal responsibility, fostering inclusivity through a shared campus identity, partnering with parents and families, preparing and empowering student leaders to serve the campus community, and striving to be innovative in meeting the needs of new students and families.

  • Petitions and Appeals

    Kutztown University is committed to the personal and intellectual growth of its students. The principal context in which this growth occurs is the University’s courses, and the educational process depends upon an open and honest atmosphere of positive cooperation between faculty and students.

  • ROTC

    Military Science (Army ROTC) is an elective curriculum taught by Army personnel.  Students develop their leadership abilities by learning critical-thinking skills, the value of character, competence and courage, as well as self-discipline and team building. Army ROTC provides individuals with the tools, training, and experiences they need to become Officers in the U.S. Army.

  • Student Conduct

    Kutztown University is centered upon a culture of learning, the pursuit of academic excellence and the holistic development of its students. As such, the Kutztown University Student Code of Conduct is established to uphold standards of the community in an effort to embrace and care for the living-learning environment of the university. In doing so, the Student Code of Conduct espouses the standards of the institution in an effort to cultivate an environment that maintains student accountability and supports an atmosphere conducive to learning.

  • Student Involvement

    The mission of Student Involvement is to enrich the student experience by providing engaging co-curricular opportunities in areas of intellectual, cultural, social, personal, civic, and leadership development in the KU community. Student Involvement will provide student organization support, leadership programs, commuter services, programming, Greek Life, and Kutztown University Activities Board advisory support that complement the academic mission.

  • Student Success Center

    The Center for Student Success & Academic Excellence works with students to set goals for academic success and acquire the academic skills needed to achieve these goals.  The Center provides personalized support to help students develop academic skills common to all learning opportunities.

  • Study Aboard Program

    The Study Abroad Office supports students throughout the entire study abroad process. We can help students select a program, get their courses pre-approved for transfer back to KU, provide a pre-departure orientation and give additional support while they are abroad and after they return to KU.

  • Testing Services

    The purpose of Kutztown University Testing Services is to provide CLEP (College Level Examination Program) testing, evaluation of CLEP transcripts and evaluation of Advanced Placement score reports for AP exams taken while a student is in high school. These services include credit by exam and proctoring examinations from other universities. Our goal is to help students demonstrate their achievements in university-level learning outcomes.

  • Tutoring Services

    Tutoring Services at Kutztown University offers a comprehensive program to support students in their academic careers while assisting them in developing the skills to become successful lifelong learners. By using Tutoring Services, students develop skills that reinforce learning, support scholarship and increase knowledge of campus resources.

  • Upward Bound

    Upward Bound is a federally-funded TRIO program designed to prepare, support, and assist low-income, first-generation college-bound high school students in the successful completion of secondary education and prepare them academically and socially for the enrollment in and completion of higher education. Kutztown University's Upward Bound project serves students in grades 9-12 at William Allen High School in the Allentown School District.

  • Women’s Center

    The Women's Center at Kutztown University is a safe space for all members of the campus community. We provide residence hall programming to freshman students on relationships and sexual violence. We collaborate with the Multicultural Center, the LGBTQ+ Resource Center, The Health and Wellness Center, ACE (Association for Campus Events), Residence Life, and the Commission on the Status of Women in hosting regular semester events, some of which include keynote speakers.

    Writing Center staff are skilled readers and writers who can talk to you about your writing and your assignments, analyze your needs, and offer advice and information to help you revise and grow as a writer.
