Minor
Students majoring in most programs at Kutztown University may elect a minor in music. The program requires 18 semester hours that can be completed over their time at KU. A minor in music may be especially valuable to those who seek degrees in fields that are related to or make use of music. Some of these fields include business, communication studies, library science, psychology, anthropology, art, and languages.
Apply to the Department of Music for admission into the minor in music. The admission process includes:
- Audition in a solo performing medium.
- Interview with the music faculty.
- Diagnostic examinations in music harmony and theory, ear training, piano skills, and sight-singing.
