New International Student Orientation

We are excited to welcome you to campus!

Orientation is a great way to adapt to campus life before the semester begins. During orientation, you will meet other KU students, get to know the campus and the student services available to you, and receive your class schedule. Important sessions are scheduled throughout the orientation to share information about university rules and policies, student visa regulations, registration and billing, information technology, student services, and campus activities, and health and wellness services, just to name a few.

Furthermore, you will meet our International Ambassadors during orientation. The International Ambassador Program is intended to help new international students transition into life at KU and find connections with the international student community here. They will connect you to the resources you need, share their experiences, and help you out if you ever feel confused or lost at KU.

Spring 2021 International Orientation will be held via Zoom on the following dates:

Tuesday, January 12 at 1:00 pm EST

Friday, January 15 at 10:30 am EST

New students will be required to attend one orientation session. During orientation, students will receive important information on maintaining their status and have a chance to ask questions.

Student should also check their KU email for an invitation to our Connections orientation. More information about Connections orientation can be found here

Please contact if you have questions about orientation.
