Reading Area Community College AA in Social Work and Kutztown University Bachelor of Social Work
This program provides a pathway for Reading Area Community College (RACC)'s graduate to earn Kutztown University's Bachelor of Social Work, a program accredited through the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), in two years through an accelerated, cohort model delivered at RACC's campus.
1. RACC students will be accepted for admission into KU's BSW Cohort being offered on-site at RACC upon:
a. Meeting the prerequisite course requirements required for the completion of Social Work (SWK) program courses: SWK 110, SWK 240, and SWK 230 with at least a C before requesting admission to KU;
b. Attaining a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average in coursework; and, at least a C in every SWK course, all of which are the same requirements for KU students;
c. Receiving the positive recommendation of RACC's Assistant Dean of Social Sciences and Human Services or Program Coordinator of Social Work; and,
d. Timely submission of all application materials to KU by August 20.
