Stacey Jordan - Campus Advocate

Meet our Campus Advocate:  Stacey Jordan

Can you explain your role in Safe Berks and at KU?

Currently, I am the Campus Advocate/Paralegal with Safe Berks. In this position, I travel around to the six college campuses in Berks County to provide support services to students, staff, and administrators who have experienced situations of interpersonal violence or sexual assault.

What are some services you provide to KU students?

As the Campus Advocate/Paralegal, all of the services I offer are free and confidential. The services I most frequently provide on campus are options counseling, short-term empowerment counseling, accompaniment to civil court, criminal court, and/or law enforcement interviews, accompaniment to Title IX meetings and panel hearings, and connecting people to other Safe Berks services or community resources.

What are some ways you practice self-care?

Some of the ways I practice self-care is by spending time with my family and friends, taking long hikes or walks, and traveling especially to Colorado to see two of my sons.
