Physics Alumna Receives 2021 LeRoy Apker Award; Highest National Honor for Undergraduate Physics Research

Kutztown University alumna Caelan Brooks ’21 was named the 2021 recipient of the American Physical Society's LeRoy Apker Award, the highest honor awarded to undergraduate physicists in the United States.

Friehauf Receives 2021 Arthur and Isabel Wiesenberger Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching

Dr. Kurt Friehauf, professor of physical sciences, has been awarded the 2021 Arthur and Isabel Wiesenberger Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching. The award, given annually, is presented to a faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding teaching skills and service to Kutztown University.

Sherrod and Trollinger Receive 2021 Chambliss Faculty Awards

 Dr. Laura Sherrod, physical sciences, and Dr. Valerie Trollinger, music, were awarded the 2021 Chambliss Faculty Research Awards during the university's Faculty and Staff Convocation and Celebration Friday, Aug. 27.

KU Grows in New Students, Retention and Diversity for 2021-22

Kutztown University welcomed 2,140 new degree-seeking students for the 2021-22 academic year, while retention of students increased to 78%, the highest since fall 2008.
