  • Research Interests
Research is a process in which individuals can work collaboratively with other professionals and students who wish to seek answers or better understand phenomenon guided by scientific rigor. Research does not have to be a mystical practice that includes the use of higher-level statistics, that can only be created, analyzed, and understood by a select few. Research should be a process of inquiry that allows counselors to collect and analyze data to support hypotheses that typically cannot be explored in the classroom alone. Creating research teams based on individual strengths allows students to bring their passion to the team without worrying about what they do not know, while learning from other research partners to strengthen areas of research opportunity. As a consumer and producer of research, my research interests are quantitatively focused, primarily regarding the counseling profession and specifically clinical supervision. I also am interested in using new and innovative methodologies to explore thoughts, ideas, and functions of counseling constructs.
