Psychology Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty Position

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 8,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The university is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Psychology at Kutztown University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of psychology position beginning August 2025.
Required: An earned doctoral degree in psychology or related field by the start of fall 2025 semester classes, or ABD with terminal degree completed by December 31, 2026; minimum two years of teaching experience at the college level, or equivalent. The area of psychology is open, but candidates must be able to teach at least three of the following courses: Statistics, Research Methods, Physiological Psychology, and Psychopathology.
Preferred: The ability to teach General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality Psychology, Psychopathology, and Intro to Clinical Psychology.
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. Faculty members are also expected to conduct scholarly research, supervise undergraduate internships, and provide general academic advising to psychology majors.
Teaching load is four courses per semester. Preference will be given to candidates who show demonstrated experience in leaching diverse populations. Interview and demonstration of teaching effectiveness is required.
