    New Student Orientation & Scheduling Your Classes
    • After you pay your deposit, you can register for an orientation date at kutztown.edu/orientation.
    • Look for a KU email confirming your orientation registration.
    • You will receive more information about scheduling classes after you register for NSO.
    • Most students will need to complete the ALEKS Math Placement. More information can be found here.
    • First-year students will have their classes assigned.
    • Transfer Students will be contacted by the academic department. Check your KU email.

    Choosing Your Housing

    Complete My College Roomie Profile.

    Form roommate groups for room selection.

    • All roommate matching is completed in My College Roomie Profiles. 
    • Complete Special Interest Housing application, if desired.
    • Room selection with matched roommate pair in your KU housing portal.

    Check your KU email for updates on your housing assignments.

    Submit Your Final Transcript

    Submit final official transcript(s) in order to complete enrollment and secure financial aid.

    • If you have taken dual enrollment courses while in high school, contact the institution where you took the classes and have them send the official transcript(s) to KU.
    • If you have taken Advanced Placement Test(s), send official score reports to KU.
    • Transfer students who have earned an Associate's Degree, do not need to provide a final high school transcript. If you are not earning an Associate's Degree, you will need to provide a final high school transcript with your graduation date listed.

    Choosing Your Housing

    All new students without an approved exception on file will be assigned housing based on availability. We will begin new student assignments as early as the first week of January and they will be completed prior to the start of the semester. Students will be notified via their KU e-mail account once their assignment has been completed.  If you have a specific housing or roommate request, please contact housing@kutztown.edu.  We will do our best to place you in that assignment, however, it is contingent upon availability and eligibility.  If you know of a current or new student you would like to live with, please email housing at housing@kutztown.edu.  That individual should email housing as well with the request.  

    We recommend that all new students update their personal information in their KU Housing portal. To do this, please complete the following steps:

    1. Log into your KU Housing portal (mykuhousing.kutztown.edu) using your KU log-in information.

    2. Click on the Personal Information

    3. Select Update Information

    4. Complete your preference questions. Hit Submit.

    Check your KU email for updates on your housing assignments.
