Special Education Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Pool

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 8,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The university is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Special Education in the College of Education invites applications for our part-time, adjunct faculty pool. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. Requirements for the position: Master’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field of study from an accredited university; at least three years of special education teaching experience in a K-12 setting; and evidence of knowledge and skill in working effectively with children with exceptionalities. Experience in supervision of pre-service teachers is preferred.  

 Responsibilities include teaching on campus undergraduate special education courses and supervising student teachers during the school day. Successful interview and demonstration lesson required.
