I have a strong background in working with the teen and young adult populations and specialize in trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. I am trained in EMDR, CPT, Exposure Therapy, DBT, and EXRP and have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.

Anthony B. Jefferson, Sr., Counselor

Anthony is a veteran who served in the Persian Gulf War. His work history includes residential and out-patient clinical services and faculty instruction in higher education. He has extensive experience working with diverse populations and is involved in spiritual and grief counseling in his community.

Susan L. Mangold, Counselor

With over 20 years’ experience in supporting KU students, Susan is passionate about helping them thrive.  She draws from humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused strategies in a holistic counseling approach.  Susan has conducted workshops on healthy relationships, grief, stress, and depression and is trained in threat assessment. 

Cara Sanfilippo, MS, LPC, NCC, , Counselor, Department Chair

  • B.S., Psychology, Misericordia University

Cara is a Certified Trauma Competent Professional and Trauma Certified Workshop Facilitator. Cara also has an extensive history of working with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings. Cara is very passionate about advocating for mental health and suicide prevention and helped start the Aevidum Club for all Schuylkill County Middle and High Schools.

Tiffany L. Stasiunas

Tiffany is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with over 16 years of experience working in college counseling centers. She is a Kutztown alum and has extensive experience working with students with a variety of presenting concerns.

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Behavioral Specialist.  She has worked with individuals with numerous issues and concerns including grief counseling, adjustment issues, conflict resolution and improving communication skills.
