Next Steps for New Graduate Students
Congratulations on your acceptance into a Kutztown graduate program. Follow the steps below to help with your transition into graduate school.
Accept Your Offer of Admission
Use the yellow K You logo button on the top
Activate Your KU Email Account
Log into your KU email account the day after you accept your offer of admission. KU offices only use this email address to contact you about important information regarding billing and essential steps you must take before beginning classes at KU. Log into the email account by using the yellow KU logo button on the top
Contact Your Advisor
Within 48 hours of accepting your offer of admission, you will receive an email with your advisor’s name and contact information. This information can also be found on MyKU at the start of your first semester. Please contact your advisor to discuss your curriculum prior to registering for classes.
Graduate Financial Aid Options
Review the graduate student aid options available to all graduate students. If you plan on applying for Federal Student Loans, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at studentaid.ed.gov.

Register For Classes
Once you communicate with your advisor, registration for classes is completed through MyKU. Your network ID and password will allow you to enter the site. Please keep in mind that login information is case sensitive. Once in MyKU, make sure you are on the "KU Student Homepage" and select the enrollment tile.
Bill Posted on MyKU
Once you register for courses, bills are posted on MyKU under the “KU Financial Account” tile > “View Bills.” Please contact the Office of Student Accounts for assistance with employer reimbursement, payment plans, and ways to pay your bill. Questions regarding financial aid should be directed to the Financial Aid Office.
Register For New Student Orientation
Register for new student orientation on the graduate admissions events page. Orientation is optional, but students can obtain a student I.D card and a parking decal during this event. As well as, students meet with the Dean of Graduate Studies, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and the Library.
Regularly Check KU Email and MyKU
Remember to check your MyKU and KU email accounts frequently for important messages.
