Exchange and Visiting

International exchange and visiting students should apply early to allow for course selection and registration. Applying early also allows enough time to obtain a student visa. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.

Step 1: Partner NOMINATION 

The home institution will nominate a student by emailing  with the following information and application materials: 

1. Provide Nominated Student Information: First Name, Last Name, School Email, Start Term, Length of Study, Major/Area of Study

2. Submit Translated Academic Records/Transcripts. Documents must be translated in English. To be considered official, the documents must be emailed by your home institution to .

3. Submit Proof of English Proficiency. 
Read the full list of English Proficiency options here. To prove English proficiency, the home institution may provide a letter verifying the student has English language proficiency equivalent to a CEFR B2 level. Alternatively, the home institution may provide the student's English proficiency exam score: IELTS (6.0), TOEFL (70), Duolingo (105), or another accepted exam. 

Step 2: Exchange & Visiting Student Application

4. Complete one of the following Online Applications: 

A) International Exchange/Visiting Application (Undergraduate) 
Complete this application if you intend to take undergraduate-level courses.

B) International Exchange/Visiting Application (Graduate)
Complete this application if you intend to take graduate-level courses. 


Once all materials are received, the International Office will review your application.

After Acceptance:

5. View your Decision Letter: Once all materials are received, an international admissions counselor will review your application and issue a decision letter. This letter can be viewed on your Applicant Status Portal.

6. Follow one of the following steps, based on A) Undergraduate or B) Graduate study. 

A) Pay the $300 USD Registration Deposit in your Applicant Status Portal to confirm your enrollment and start the immigration steps. The deposit fee can be deferred to a future term but is non-refundable. This is not an extra fee - the money will go towards your first semester bill. 

B) Confirm your enrollment in your Applicant Status Portal to start the immigration steps.

7. Submit a copy of your passport (the picture and information page) on your Applicant Status Portal

8. Complete the Sources of Funds FormAccess the form on your Applicant Status Portal

9. Submit a copy of your passport (the picture and information page) on your Applicant Status Portal.

10. Financial supporting documents: Upload acceptable financial support documents on your Applicant Status PortalSee the Immigration Requirements webpage to see what documents are and are not accepted.
