HOW TO APPLY: FIRST YEAR INTERNATIONAL students

International students should apply by the Scholarship Deadline to be fully considered for need-based scholarships. Applying early also allows enough time to obtain a student visa. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.

1. Complete an Online Undergraduate Application: Click Here to Apply

2. Pay the $35 USD application fee in the application portal. If you have an application fee waiver code, provide it on your application before you review and submit. 

3. Submit Official Secondary School/High School Academic Records
Academic records include transcripts, national exam results, secondary school certificates/diplomas. To be considered official, the docuemnts must be emailed by your by your Secondary School/High School to international@kutztown.edu. Documents uploaded by applicants on their Applicant Status Portal are considered unofficial. Read specific requirements by country here. All international academic GPAs will be recalculated to a Kutztown University's GPA. 

4. Submit Proof of English Proficiency. 
Read the full list of English Proficiency options here. Questions related to exemptions for English proficiency contact international@kutztown.edu. To prove English proficiency, the applicant must meet one of the requirements below:
Option 1: English Proficiency Test with Eligible Scores
Option 2: Education in the U.S. or Approved ESL Program
Option 3: Select Countries with English as a Medium of Instruction
Option 4: Qualifying Curriculum or National Exam with Eligible Scores

5. Submit a copy of your passport (the picture and information page) on your Applicant Status Portal.

6. View your Decision Letter: Once all materials are received, an international admissions counselor will review your application and issue a decision letter. This letter can be viewed on your Applicant Status Portal.

7. Pay the $300 USD Registration Deposit in your Applicant Status Portal to confirm your enrollment and start the immigration steps. The deposit fee can be deferred to a future term but is non-refundable. This is not an extra fee - the money will go towards your first semester bill.
