Noyce Scholarship Program
Mentoring Urban STEM Teachers for Equity and Innovation
As a National Science Foundation, Noyce Scholarship program, KU’s MUST for Equity and Innovation program, provides stipends of $27,900 for five STEM teacher candidates per year (2022-2027) who are enrolled full time in the M.Ed. Secondary Education: Teaching with Initial Certification program. The stipend covers full in-state tuition ($22,500) and includes additional money to offset program and living expenses. Following graduation, recipients must complete a two-year service requirement to teach STEM in a high-needs school district.
The MUST for Equity and Innovation program's goal is to recruit STEM professionals from a wide range of diverse demographics, disciplines, and professional experiences for careers in secondary STEM teaching in under-resourced urban communities.
