Colors

Kutztown University's school colors are maroon and gold. Using these colors is a vital part of the university's visual identity.  It is important to use these colors, and use them correctly, wherever possible. Kutztown's specific colors, using the PANTONE® Matching System (PMS), are Maroon - PMS 195 and Metallic Gold - PMS 871.

When using color builds, always use the color values listed on the following pages. They have been adjusted for the best reproduction on screen (digital) and in print (either coated or uncoated), and may not match PANTONE® Color Bridge breakdowns.

Our color palette has four sets: primary, alternate primary, secondary and tertiary, each with its own mix of colors. Lean heavily on the primary set, but use supporting sets to build color schemes that are complementary and balanced.

	Coated Metallic PANTONE 871 When metallic ink is not used, use KEYSTONE under alternate primary. This is a close replication of what Metallic Gold PMS 871 looks like.  It cannot be viewed truly electronically. As such, no CMYK, RGB or Hex equivalents are listed.

Alternate Primary Color

Alternate primary colors are provided for instances when the primary colors cannot be used.  When producing merchandise, use Spirit Gold - PMS 123 as the option for a gold color.
