Registering Your Virtual and/or Hybrid Event
The Office of Conference and Event Services is now tracking internal virtual and hybrid events. This will help the University not only in tracking all of the events occurring at KU but also in advertising virtual events through the central calendar.
This requires that all faculty and staff input non-instructional virtual events, meetings, gatherings, etc… into the EMS system. To input your virtual event into EMS, simply follow the event reservation steps loacted in the EMS User Guide. When it’s time to select a location, under “Buildings”, select “Virtual Event”. If you choose to have your event published on the University central calendar, the information for your event will be listed.
Also, if you are hosting a hybrid event (face-to-face and virtual) please make sure to indicate that in your room reservation request.
