I am a first semester freshman or transfer student and have not yet earned a GPA and I want to declare a business major, where do I start?
Please email bsba@kutztown.edu or call 610-683-4580. The Academic Secretary will help you set up a meeting with a chair to discuss the majors we offer and your course selection for the next semester.
When grades post you will be contacted by the Department with Change of Major paperwork if you meet our 2.0 or higher GPA criteria.

I am a KU student and want to change my major to business, where do I start?
We welcome every KU student to choose a business major(s). Please make sure you meet the requirement of our Internal GPA Transfer Policy.
Download the Change of Major form and follow the attached instructions. If you have questions email bsba@kutztown.edu or call 610-683-4580.

What placement testing do I need?
Have you taken the online ALEKS math placement test?
Since BSBA majors require more than introductory math, you must take the ALEKS assessment. You should have received several notifications about this.
Students who have not transferred in MAT 105 (College Algebra) MUST take the placement test. If you score 61 or better within 5 tries this allows us to enroll you in several core business courses. You can access the placement test at www.kutztown.edu/mathplacement.
Have you taken the online ITCCA exam?
The Business Information Technology Concepts and Computer Applications Assessment (ITCCA) is required for all students who have not already taken BUS 171 or CSC 101 or its equivalent. Otherwise, Students must take and pass the ITCCA prior to registering for BUS 275: Business Data Management and Information Systems and several other required courses. You can access the exam at www.kutztown.edu/ITCCA.

Where do I go when I can't reach my advisor?
Make sure you are emailing your advisor from your KU student email account, often the KU spam filter blocks non-KU emails from getting through.
