Welcome to the 78th Annual Art Education Conference at Kutztown University. This year's conference will bring to life the creative possibilities and utility of narrative pedagogy in teaching and learning in the art classroom. Narrative is a powerful form of discourse in the construction and reconstruction of knowledge and meaning in society. There are multiple layers of narrative discourse including individual, cultural, and societal myths. These pluralistic stories are shaped and defined in the social space of the classroom. This unique conference with an amazing line up of artists, performers, and educators is sure to awaken us to the potential of story.
