Music Education Information

Application and Audition to the Department of Music is required.

The B.S. in Music Education prepares teacher candidates who wish to be certified to teach general, instrumental, and choral music in Pre-K through 12th grade in Pennsylvania schools. This certification may be accepted as initial certification in other states. The curriculum includes the core music requirements in the Bachelor of Arts in Music plus professional education courses.
