Prof. Ben Sher

Ben Sher is a veteran New York Jazz Guitarist. Fluent in the classic jazz guitar tradition of Wes Montgomery and Kenny Burrell, Ben also draws from the great Brazilian tradition of Joao Gilberto and Baden Powell. He has five releases on the BGI Record label and a long list of sideman credits. As a soloist he has appeared at the prestigious Blue Note Jazz club both in New York and Fukuoka Japan, and as a featured artist in clubs in Moscow, Zurich, and Dublin As as sideman he has recorded and toured with a long list of artists playing different styles of music: from avante-garde jazz on Knitting Factory Records to touring with productions of the Rock Musical Tommy.

In addition to his work here at Kutztown Ben is also a Professor at the Berklee College of Music where he teaches part-time. www.bensherguitarist.com
