Our Department
The Psychology Department invites you to explore our rich and diverse curriculum. Our Bachelor of Science in Psychology major offers two concentrations: Psychology and Psychology: Paralegal Studies. Our department also offers two 18-credit minors: Psychology and Multicultural Studies in the United States. Psychology explores multiple areas of study such as; law, medicine, chemistry, biology, and social sciences; while understanding and serving human needs.
Our Psychology major offers two undergraduate B.S. degree concentrations, each consisting of 120 credits: B.S. Psychology or Psychology: Paralegal Studies. These concentrations help to prepare students better for subfields within psychology, giving students the opportunity to explore various fields in their area of study. Students in any concentration can later pursue careers or apply to graduate school within any field of psychology. Accordingly, the selection of a concentration should depend upon interests, career goals, and graduation target date.
We have a diverse faculty who provide students with opportunities to gain experience via internships and research opportunities. Our department facilities include computer labs for teaching statistics and research methods, a student lounge (OM 383-B) and specialized research labs in visual perception, cognition and biofeedback. We invite you to learn more about our programs by exploring the links on the left or scheduling a visit.
