Art making has always been prevalent in my life but doing it here, every day, has pushed me to go out of my boundaries, and then being surrounded by all these incredible students, it’s pushing me to better in my own artwork, which is something I wanted when going to college.

The following are just a few career opportunities to pursue with an art education degree, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:
Starting as early as your second year, you will have the opportunity to go out and learn to teach in real schools.
Every art education major must complete a clinical student teaching experience, where they will be placed in an elementary, middle, or high school in eastern Pennsylvania.
If you would like to focus on a specific art track, you can dual major. In five years, you can earn a B.S. in art education and a B.F.A. in Applied Digital Arts, Communication Design or Studio Art.
KU also offers an Alternative Setting Track for students who would like to pursue an area of specialty. Students can explore career options with museums, hospitals, art organizations and parks & recreation departments.
