Honors Conferences
National Collegiate Honors Council Conference - Kansas City, MO.
Honors Students Have Attended:
PASSHE Honors Student Development Conference
Every Spring semester the director of the Honors Program takes students to the PA State System of Higher Education Honors Student Development Conference. At this conference, students attend workshops and panel discussions dealing with Honor's accomplishments and issues. It is also a great opportunity to meet and interact with Honors students from our sister schools.
Northeast Regional Honors Conference
This past spring, students in the KU Honors Program attended the Northeast Regional Honors Conference. In addition to exploring Pittsburgh with Honors students from all over, our students took in the play Native Gardens at the City Theater and after the show they were able to dialogue with an Artistic Director of the theater to discuss Zacarias's "brilliant comedy that exposes well-intentioned neighbors' notions on race, class, morality, and privilege." Overall, the conference proved how important it is to share your work with the world. We are already planning our next conference trip to showcase our outstanding KU students and their amazing research and artwork.
National Collegiate Honors Council
The National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) proudly invites you to our national conference, set against the backdrop of Kansas City's rich history. Under the theme "Harmonizing Heritage: Elevating Honors Education through Culture, Capital, and Community Engagement," we will explore the equation of History, Diversity and Creativity in honors.
