Grant Goals

The grant aims to increase equitable access to high-impact practices and increase retention and graduation rates by 5% by the end of the five-year grant award. Performance indicators being tracked include the following: 

  • Increase retention and graduation rates by 5% over five years (Fall 2023 #s listed below) 

    • All students – 75% 
    • URM – 68% 
    • Pell eligible – 67% 
    • First-generation – 71% 
          • Decrease DFW rates in FYSM courses to 14% (FA23 17%) 

          • Increase # of tutoring hours—Tutor.com; 24/7 online launch in Summer 2024

          • Increase # of students completing two or more HIPs, including the following initiatives supported by the Title III grant:

            • Faculty-led research (CUREs or Course-based Research Experiences)
            • Micro-internships 
            • Study abroad 
          • Increase % of relevant faculty/staff using the Starfish Student Success platform

          • Increase Reboot program completers and retention to the 2nd year

          • Improve knowledge and skills of faculty/staff to support neurodivergent students
