Imaginarium Assistant
Job Description
Imaginarium Assistants oversee the day to day operation of the Housing and Residence Life Resource Room, the Imaginarium. Imaginarium Assistants are required to live on campus. Those wishing to work in the facility must complete an application. Compensation is $8.50 an hour.
Tasks
- Inventory and manage supplies
- Assist students using the facility
- Answer the phone Maintain the logbook
- Sign equipment in and out Cut paper
- Make copies, posters, and laminate items as needed
- Participate in Fall and Spring Training
- Other duties as assigned
Staffing Pattern
- There are 7 to 8 Imaginarium Assistants hired each year
- Each IA works 7-10 hours a week
- Scheduled weekly shifts
- Rotate weekends
Hours of Operation
- Monday: 12pm-12am
- Tuesday-Thursday: 9am-12am
- Friday: 9am-10pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 10am-10pm
Qualifications
- Complete an application and have an interview
- Maintain a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative grade point average
- Students must live on campus to be eligible
- Be in good judicial standing
- Available to work weekdays and some weekends hours
- Available to work approximately 7-10 hours per week.
