Apply for Financial Aid.

  • We recommend that you apply for FAFSA each year, even if you will be using military benefits. Military benefits rarely covers the entire costs of attending college.
    • Veteran Status on FAFSA - If you have not served on qualifying active duty, DO NOT select 'Yes' to this question. Active duty orders for training are not considered qualifying active duty.
      • If you select Yes and you are not a Veteran, it will delay your FAFSA from processing and delay the release of anticipated aid.
      • Basic training, AIT/Tech School, Annual Training, ADTS for School orders are considered active duty for training orders.
    • Reserve and National Guard Service members who have not been mobilized, deployed, or served on active duty for special work (ADSW, ADOS, etc.) are typically not considered Veterans for the FAFSA.
