and workshop proposal to be reviewed by the Craft Workshop Scholarship Committee.

Applications are due Feb 9th before midnight. No applications submitted after this
deadline will be considered. Incomplete or incorrectly formatted applications can be
disqualifying so please follow the below directions carefully.

How and What to Submit

IMAGES OF 5-8 ARTWORKS:
Please label your files: LastName_FirstName_0##.jpg (example: Doe_John_001.jpg)

  • Your images must be JPG files
  • Your images should not exceed 2.5MB
  • Your images should be properly oriented and edited
  • You may include detail or installation views for each work (these will not count towards your
    5-8 images)

AS PDF DOCUMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Your Artist Statement - that describes your current focus within your work. (200-300 words)

  • A Workshop Proposal - that details the location and workshop name of your top 3
workshops that you would be interested in attending. Based on funding/availability we might not be able to give you your first choice, so options are needed. This requires research on your end to look at the potential schools and the workshops they offer. The craft schools available are Arrowmont, Peter’s Valley, Touchstone or Goggleworks. If there is another school you are interested in please reach out to the committee for approval. (300 Words minimum - 1 page maximum)

Please also include how you believe the knowledge and skills learned during this experience would benefit your artistic practice in the future.

Include the name of one faculty member who is willing to recommend you for a scholarship- this must be talked about with the professor and approved before included.

  •  OPTIONAL: a CV of your accomplishments

Finally, send an email to Professor Struble (struble@kutztown.edu) containing a zipped folder of all of your images and documents together as one portfolio folder. If it needs to be sent as a link to a OneDrive folder because of the size that is also acceptable. Applications are due Feb 9th before midnight.
