What ARE Micro-Internships?

  • Short-term, project-based assignments (1-4 weeks, 10-40 hours)
  • Often remote, but also offered hybrid or in person
  • Paid experiences (at least $250, via direct pay or through KU Foundation donation prior to assignment beginning)
  • During semester, summer or winter break

Jan. 15 - Employer Interest Forms Due
Feb - Micro-internships start throughout the month
March 1 - Check-in emails sent to all
April 15 - Assessment emails sent to all

Summer:
May 15- Employer Interest Forms Due
June-July - Micro-internships start throughout the month
July 15- Check-in emails sent to all
Aug 15- Assessment emails sent to all

Fall Semester:
Sep 1- Employer Interest Forms Due
Oct - Micro-internships start throughout the month
Nov 1- Check-in emails sent to all
Dec 1- Assessment emails sent to all
