Requesting an FYE Guide or Student Course Assistant

First Year Experience (FYE) Guides and Student Course Assistants (SCA) are undergraduate student workers recommended to support to the faculty members in the structure of their courses for students' success.

What is the difference between an FYE Guide and SCA?

  • FYE Guides work closely with FYS faculty to support and encourage first year student success in the First-Year Seminar (FYSM) course.
  • Student Course Assistants facilitate student learning and help students better understand concepts or applications of various course content.
