About Dr. Walsh Coates:

Dr. Patricia Walsh Coates is a Professor of Secondary Education at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Ph.D. in history and specializes in both educational theory and 20th century feminist and trans-Atlantic history. Dr. Walsh Coates has published various works in the field of teacher education, most recently on outcomes-based doctoral programs, sexuality education in United States public schools, and restorative practice in the classroom. She served as director of Kutztown’s Education Doctorate in Transformational Teaching and Learning program.
