Organizations
The Math Club is a club open to all students with an interest in mathematics. The Math Club is also an official student chapter of the Mathematical Association of America.
The KU Math Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. to eat pizza, do math problems and listen to interesting math speakers.
Statistics and Actuarial Science Club
The SASC is a student chapter of the American Statistical Association. Its purpose is to encourage students to learn about (and prepare for) careers in fields related to actuarial science, finance, and statistics.
Association for Women in Mathematics: KU Chapter
The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) is a national organization devoted to encouraging women and girls to study, to have active careers in the mathematical sciences and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.
Kappa Mu Epsilon National Honorary Mathematics Society
Kappa Mu Epsilon is a specialized honor society in Mathematics founded in 1931 to promote the interest of mathematics among undergraduate students. KU's chapter, the Pennsylvania Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, was founded on April 3, 1965. Dr. Kronenthal and Dr. McQuaid are the faculty advisors.
