Undergraduate Tuition & Fees 24/25 - Estimated Costs

Estimated tuition and fees are listed below to help students plan for the upcoming academic year.   Tuition rates are not officially set until the summer before the upcoming academic year.  All rates below are subject to change until the official tuition announcement, typically about mid-July.  This is also when we anticipate Fall 2024 bills to be prepared online in the students online secure portal (New MyKU will be used starting Fall 2024 for billing and payments).

Students are billed by semester, however financial aid is awarded for the full academic year - please be cautious when calculating the charges vs. your potential aid awards and funding.

An estimating tool worksheet has been created to use for estimating your financial needs after your aid package is known (or estimated).  This document is maintained on our First Time Students Guide, but can be used by any student planning to attend KU. 

Note we are only showing estimates for three full time groups of undergraduate students below.  For part time - please feel free to divide the full time rate by 12 and multiply by credits.  This would provide an estimated part time cost as needed.

Reduced Rate students only - see below explanation

Reduced Rate is awarded to new incoming non-Pa. resident students for up to eight (8) semesters or for incoming non-Pa. resident transfer students for up to six (6) semesters as long as they meet satisfactory academic progress (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and completing no less than 24 credits in an academic year).  If requirements are not met during fall and spring combined the student may use the summer to improve their status.  Once this rate is lost, it will not be reinstated.
