Biographical Statement:

Yoon Mi Kim earned a PhD in social work from the University of Pittsburgh; a master's degree in social work from California State University at Los Angeles; and a BA in social welfare from SungKyunKwan University, South Korea. Dr. Kim is Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work and teaches in the BSW, MSW, and DSW programs. Her scholarship includes a lengthy record of presentations and publications pertinent to disaster relief, acculturation, and policy advocacy. As a scholar and social worker, Dr. Kim strongly believes in the applications of experiential, evidence-based research to the development of innovative practice and teaching approaches.
