KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Kutztown University will put an entertaining stamp on a full day of Golden Bear home athletic events Saturday, Oct. 16, with a postgame fireworks show following the football team's matchup against Shippensburg.

The action-packed Saturday begins with the nationally-ranked KU field hockey team hosting its Senior Day game against Slippery Rock 11 a.m., at Andre Reed Stadium. Women's soccer, also nationally ranked, is home to face East Stroudsburg 1 p.m., at Keystone Field. Golden Bear football, currently receiving votes in the national poll, concludes the day with a 5:05 p.m. kickoff against the Red Raiders at Andre Reed Stadium.

Football tickets and parking can be purchased in advance by CLICKING HERE. There is no charge for admission to the field hockey and soccer games.

The fireworks display will be the first held at Andre Reed Stadium since 2016 when the university celebrated Founders' Week as part of KU's Sesquicentennial Celebration. Celebration Fireworks, Inc., of Slatington, Pa., will conduct its choreographed pyro-musical show from the E2 parking lot beyond the east end zone.

Due to setup for the show, parking lot E2, located adjacent to the Student Recreation Center, will be closed starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, through Saturday, Oct. 16. If any other parking or traffic advisories are issued, they will be announced at KUBears.com closer to the event.
