Keith Haring Day

Kutztown University held the inaugural Keith Haring Day Fitness Event, Thursday, May 4. Events included a fitness clinic, hosted by the Department of Sport Management, fitness competition and an art walk. Demonstrations and instructions for appropriate training and skills using the outdoor fitness court were the focus. Following the clinic, Jordan Davis, sport management intern, conducted a fitness competition. Sandy Green, community liaison and government relations assistant, then led the Keith Haring art walk.

The Collage April Newsletter

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences announced the publication of its April 2023 issue of The Collage Newsletter. This issue features Dr. Derek Mace, professor of psychology, and Ebben Berenstein, senior public relations major.

Second KU Career Classic Golf Outing

The Career Development Center, in partnership with the KU Men’s Golf Club and College of Business, is hosting their second fundraising golf outing Friday, Sept. 15, Golden Oaks, Fleetwood, Pa. In addition to the golf outing, this event features a networking lunch with KU students and faculty, great food, prizes, contests and more. Players of all skill levels are welcome. All funds raised through both registrations and additional donations will benefit KU students directly. Summer Hours

Summer hours will begin Monday, May 15 and remain in effect through Friday, August 18, a week before the start of classes. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a half-hour lunch. Anyone who has a need to maintain the normal academic year hours may submit a request through their supervisory line. Approval for such a request will be at the vice-presidential level and should be communicated to Human Resources.

Chief John Dillon’s Retirement

Please join us for a small reception in honor of Chief John Dillon, 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, in the Presidents Room, 250 MSU. There will be light refreshments. Dillon has been with Kutztown University Public Safety and Police Services for 33 years. Please stop by and wish him the best as he begins this next exciting chapter in his life.
