Jardine Earns All-America Status, Shatters School Pole Vault Record
Kutztown University track and field pole vaulter Joe Jardine shattered the school record and earned himself All-America status en route to a sixth-place finish at the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday, March 9, Pittsburgh, Kan. The Mohrsville, Pa. native easily cleared the bar at 4.89m and 5.04m, before jumping over the bar at 5.14m (16'10.25") on his first attempt to break the school record. The previous best record of 5.09m (16'8.75") was held by Paul Schmitt and had stood since 2001.

Strong high pressure over North Carolina brings another mainly sunny day to our area today with temperatures markedly improving over the past couple of days. Highs will rise all the way to around 63, but that pesky stiff breeze will still be around, though not as windy as the past two days, and at least it’ll be ushering in much warmer temperatures.
