Transfer Honor Society Awards Scholarship

Congratulations to senior psychology major, Emma Hope, for earning one of the five $3,500 scholarships available through Tau Sigma, the national honor society for transfer students. Established in December 2016 at KU, the Eta Mu chapter is the fourth Tau Sigma chapter within PASSHE. Currently with a few hundred members, this chapter recognizes transfer students who earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in their first semester at KU. Hope is the fifth KU student to win a scholarship through this organization. Since transferring from Lehigh Carbon Community College in Fall 2023, Hope has maintained a 4.0 GPA, held a position as a transfer tour guide in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, mentored other transfer students, became president of the Eta Mu chapter and added minors in sociology as well as women, gender, and sexuality studies.
