Weather

Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger

Powerful low pressure will bring an outright nasty day today and tonight. Rain, heavy at times, along with high winds, especially later, prompting a wind advisory. Several inches of rain should fall, prompting a flood watch, as well. Oh, and don’t be surprised if the precipitation begins as a very brief wintry mix, but that will quickly change to rain as we’ll be on the warm side of this particular storm with temperatures rising to near 50. Biggest concerns with this storm are the flash flooding potential, worsened by rapid snowpack melt and high winds, which could bring down trees rooted in weakened, water-logged ground.
