"As a current KUCD student, the program has provided me with the expertise needed to carry out exciting projects in my community. I am so grateful to be surrounded by inspiring professors and peers who have impacted my life more than they realize. KUCD makes me feel empowered to push myself and create work that I feel proud of."

Announcements
Omnilert Desktop Alert Application Update
As we strive to improve the operation of our KU Alert System, the Information Technology and University Relations offices are updating the Omnilert Desktop Alert Application. This is the software that sends an alert to be displayed on university computers when the KU Alert System is activated.
At 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, the Omnilert Desktop App will begin being updated on all university computers. This update will take several days to complete, and will require multiple device restarts. Please be sure to save any unsaved work, close applications and leave your device powered on. Your device does not need to be connected to the university network for this update to occur, but does require an internet connection.
The device restarts could continue into the following week on July 31 and Aug. 1. Please allow the computers to restart when notified.
During this process, the Omnilert Desktop App will not be functional. Should there be an emergency, the other methods of KU Alert emergency messages (text, email) would be utilized as normal.
At the conclusion of the Omnilert Desktop App update, we will schedule a test of the system that will be announced via a separate email from this announcements inbox.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation with this emergency messaging update.
