Dine in The Dark
The Braille Bears held a Dine in the Dark at Kutztown University Saturday, April 13. Many alumni, students and families attended the event to raise awareness of visual impairments and learn about the visual impairment program. More than 75 people attended the event.

You're Invited to an Indian Cultural Celebration
Join us for an Indian Cultural Celebration 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, Multicultural Center. All are welcome. From 5-6 p.m., local artist Mamta Kochhar, M.A., will lead an art workshop "Spring Festivities of India - Global Celebrations and Cultural Nuances" with mandala designs. There will be samosas and mango lassis to snack on and Bollywood music to listen to. From 6-7 p.m., there will be a throwing colors relay race Holi-style. Please make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We'll be using powdered colors that can wash off. We hope to see you there.

Quartet for the End of Time, Faculty and Guest Artist Recital
Three faculty members from the Department of Music will perform 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, Wells-Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research. Pianist Dr. Maria Asteriadou, clarinetist Dr. Aileen Razey and violinist Kurt Nikkanen will be joined by guest artist, cellist Wolfram Koessel from New York, to perform two major works by two iconic composers: Messiaen and Beethoven. Admission is free.

KU Inspires Celebrates Research and Creativity Conference
Please plan to support the nearly 50 student researchers by attending this year's KU Inspires, A Celebration of Research and Creativity, Wednesday, April 17. In its fourth year, the event is an on-campus, low-stakes conference where students can share their ideas in a friendly environment. It runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a poster and artwork exhibit all day in the library and individual panels on the hour throughout the day. Formats include paper presentations, posters, artwork, original creative writing, comics and short films. Preview the program here.

The General Education Program and Assessment Committee (GEPAC) would like to announce that Kutztown University’s General Education program will host two external reviewers Monday, April 22, as part of its five-year program review process. Tau Sigma, KU's transfer honor society, recently inducted 41 members into its Eta Mu chapter. These students transferred to KU in Spring 2023 or Fall 2023 and earned a least a 3.5 GPA in their first semester at KU. Acrobatics and Tumbling's Five-Element Heat Qualifies for NCATA National Championships
Golden Bear acrobatics and tumbling will continue its competitive year into the postseason as the five-element heat qualified for an at-large berth to the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championships in the Individual Event Final at Fairmont State University Sunday, April 28.
