Hip-Hop at KU: Moments Create Movements

Empower the creatives. Empower the community. Empower the culture. Moments Create Movements is a grant-funded program from the KU Research Committee. Marlene N. Fares and Stephen Walker, with the support of faculty, staff and student organizations, are bringing you the dopest hip-hop experience. Join us as we pay homage to hip-hop with our workshops and showcase.
 - DJing Workshop: 4-6 p.m. Monday, April 22, Little Theatre, Schaeffer Auditorium. Explore the world of mixing with DJ Trix, aka Dr. Sirrakos.
 - Graffiti Workshop: 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 113 Sharadin. Graffiti artmaking with Dra. Sotomayor.
 - Writing Workshop: 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, Multicultural Center. Poetics of hip-hop with Chana and Stephen.

Film Crew on Campus Wednesday and Thursday, April 24-25

Admissions and University Marketing will be working with a camera crew on campus Wednesday and Thursday, April 24-25. We will be filming in most campus buildings and common areas, including classrooms. The search committee for the position of AVP and Dean of Students invites students, faculty and staff to the candidate open forums. The search committee will be soliciting your responses to the candidates through a survey sent after the forum. The curriculum vitae for each candidate will be posted the day before each campus visit. A link will be provided at a later date.
