KU Biology Students Publish Class Research Project in Journal of Helminthology
Two Kutztown University Biology Major students published the experiment they helped design as part of their BIO 270 Research Methods in Biology class. Billie Kantner, B.S. Biology – Organismal Biology/Ecology, and Emely Santos, B.S. Biology – Allied Health, were co-authors of a Short Communication, along with KU faculty Dr. Alexander Hernandez and his research collaborators at Rodale Institute and the University of Minnesota at Morris.
The article was published July 2023 in the Journal of Helminthology: Alexander D. Hernandez, Bille Kantner, Emely Santos, Sara Major, Rick Carr, Yuzhi Li (2023) The number of Oesophagostomum spp. larvae recovered in coprocultures varies with media used. Journal of Helminthology 97: e55.

Professional Development Committee 2023-24 Guidelines
The Professional Development Committee 2023-2024 guidelines are now available. The Professional Development Committee reviews proposals on an as-needed basis, university calendar and other professional obligations permitting. All applications are considered in the order in which they are received.
