Field Hockey's Gatehouse Receives Prestigious Honor as PSAC Fall Top-10 Award Winner
Senior Sarah Gatehouse of the national champion Golden Bear field hockey team added another illustrious award to her file as she was named one of just five female student-athletes as a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Fall Top 10 Award winner, announced by the league office Friday, Jan. 19. Gatehouse is a two-time First Team All-American and was voted the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year, along with being named to the All-PSAC First Team for the second-straight season. The Sinking Spring native was the backbone of a KU defense that finished first in the nation in goals allowed (11) and goals-against-average (.497), starting all 22 games at center back. She ranked second on KU in points (19) and assists (5) and was fourth in goals scored (7). Gatehouse also received the PSAC Champion Scholar and NCAA Elite 90 awards.

Tutoring Services
Tutoring for the 2024 spring semester will begin Monday, Jan. 29. Tutors are available for most 100 and 200-level courses and some upper-level courses. Academic Peer Mentors (APM) are available to all students. Students can sign up for tutoring in Starfish using the tutor link next to their course, or by using the "I Need Help" button if tutoring is not listed for the class. APM appointments can be scheduled in Starfish under the APM box in "My Services." Tutoring Services is located at 26 Rohrbach Library. Sabbatical Applications Collection Schedule Spring 2024
The Sabbatical Leave Committee will be available during the following time slots to collect your sabbatical applications for Fall 2025-Spring 2026:
- 11 a.m. to noon and 2:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 130 Lytle.
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 130 Lytle.
- 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 1, 130 Lytle.
Please bring one original copy and seven back-to-back photocopies of your application for the sabbatical committee to review. Each application should include the following items:
- A signed verification of eligibility form from the Provost's office (signatures of the applicant and the provost representative are required).
- A signed application form (signatures of the dean, department chair and the applicant are required).
- A written sabbatical proposal.
- An updated C.V.
