KU to Pair with Mars 2020 Rover for 5-Year NASA Grant

Kutztown University’s Department of Physical Sciences has been awarded a five-year, $375,000 grant from NASA for its Here to Observe (H2O) program. The H2O Program gives undergraduate students the opportunity to observe and interact with NASA Planetary Science Division teams, with the goal of inspiring historically marginalized groups to be part of the STEM workforce. This program gives undergraduate student observers the opportunity to join a scientific community and interact with the Mars Perseverance Rover team at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, Calif. Fall Fest for Success

We are thrilled to invite you to Fall Fest for Success, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, 218 MSU. This event is designed with one goal in mind: to proactively connect our students with the resources they need for a successful semester. As the semester kicks off, it's essential for students to be aware of and utilize the vast array of resources available on campus. By connecting early, students can avoid the common pitfalls and challenges that often arise later in the term. This event aims to shift the approach from reactive to proactive, ensuring that our Golden Bears have the support they need from the start. You can expect:
-
Engaging Activities and Games: Break the ice and have some fun.
- Meet Campus Services: Put faces to names and discover how they can help you.
-
Meet and Greet Moses: Come and say hi to Moses, the therapy dog in the Office of Student Assistance.
-
Success Tips: Learn practical advice to make your semester smoother.

Your students' participation is crucial. Not only will they gain valuable insights and connections, but your presence also helps foster a supportive and connected community. By attending, you contribute to an environment where everyone feels empowered to succeed. Plus, the more the merrier - bring your friends and make it a day to remember. Have questions? Reach out to Jess Hainley or Samantha LaFlame. We're here to help and ensure you have an amazing experience. Don't miss out on this opportunity to set yourself up for success.

Secure your participation by contacting Karen Rauch at rauch@kutztown.edu.
