Weather

Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger

The remnants of Ophelia will make for another damp, dreary, breezy day with temperatures only around 61 and rain showers around. Precipitation amounts will be low, but enough to keep things unpleasant.

Geophysics Society of KU

The Geophysics Society of Kutztown University (GSKU), a student group at KU, provided geophysical surveying services to a local historian just before the start of the fall semester. The Glendale Flour Mill owners were interested in locating the mill stones from their historic mill and GSKU performed ground penetrating radar (GPR) and magnetometer surveys at the site to assist with that investigation. GSKU will perform additional surveying this semester at Lincoln Cemetery in Harrisburg, the oldest historically African American cemetery in Pennsylvania, in a search for evidence of a mass burial. This group is led by Dr. Laura Sherrod, Department of Physical Sciences.
