Get Carried Away by the Music of Journey
Schaeffer Auditorium will be rocking 80’s style with Don’t Stop Believin’: The Journey Tribute by E5C4P3, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. Lead singer Jason Kelty is known for his uncanny ability to channel Steve Perry in iconic songs like “Open Arms” and “Don’t Stop Believing,” as well as the rest of the material on Journey’s seven albums during the 10-year period when Perry was their renowned lead vocalist. Don’t miss the legendary American rock sound as it takes over KU. KU faculty and staff can access discounted tickets by logging in for tickets with their MyKU login.

CEL Workshop: Connecting Students through Empathy Mapping
Our students bring many layers to the classroom — from working full-time and feeling anxious, to increased DSO accommodations and financial insecurity — but classes still have skills and content to cover. How can we identify these layers and how might we help students be more motivated and successful in our classes? Erin Kraal and Karen Rauch from the Center for Engaged Learning will lead an empathy mapping activity focused on how students engage with the specific components of your course(s) 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, CEL Office, 6 Rohrbach Library.
